Authentic Nameplates Authentic Nameplates started in 1987 when I replicated an old copper nameplate that graced the entrance of my great-grandparents home.

I built up a market supplying handcrafted nameplates to owners of period style and modern homes across Australia. My nameplates have won prizes throughout the country in competition against some of the finest metal smiths and jewellers. With his book, House Names of Australia, and appearances on national television and talk-back radio, I have been regarded as an authority on the subject giving sem

inars for historical societies and The National Trust of Australia. I believe that no period home is complete until it is adorned with a handcrafted nameplate. I believe this is a simple way to add charm and character to a period or modern home.
