I had the pleasure of teaching Vanessa, Lisa and Brooke in the studio a couple of weekends ago and it was so much fun.

They each got to design and make 2 pieces each from recycled aluminium, copper and brass and add their own personalised touches to them.

Thanks for coming along and allowing me to share my skills and techniques with you all.

I can't wait for our next class together soon.

Wow, what a day and a weekend!

Thank you for an amazing event , I had the best time.

I got to laugh and chat with some wonderful people over the weekend, made some new friends, and got to meet some of my IG and FB followers in person which is always an extra highlight.

To say my cup is full would be an understatement. Thank you so much to the organisers, my neighbours, the other vendors, and my customers.

I am feeling truly grateful and overjoyed, exhausted and fatigued, but ultimately so happy.

See you all again in September for the Critters of the Dark event in Morayfield.

What a day!

Day 1 of the Faeries & Folklore Event is done.

I had such a wonderful day surrounded by the most amazing people, creations, costumes, music, roving dancers and a flutist.

Everyone loved my new mushrooms and butterfly designs and my wall art, which I'm stoked about. This week's many 18 hour days were worth the effort haha.

A huge thank you to those who took a piece of Meekz home with them, I really appreciate your support, and to those who couldn't just yet...your appreciation and amazing feedback is also very much loved.

We're back again tomorrow for Day 2 and open at 9am for all the VIP'S attendees and at 10am for general ticketed entry.

I'm looking forward to doing it all again. See you in the morning.

This is a workshop I've had countless students ask for over the years, and I'm thrilled to finally bring it to life.

Over two immersive days, you'll learn how to create your own handcrafted chain using recycled sterling silver, copper and brass.

Starting with raw wire, you'll discover the traditional techniques used to form, shape, solder and assemble individual links into beautiful wearable jewellery.

By the end of the weekend, every student will leave with:

✨ 1 handcrafted necklace
✨ 1 handcrafted bracelet
✨ The skills and confidence to continue making chain at home

This is an advanced workshop designed for students who are ready to take their silversmithing skills to the next level and learn one of the most requested jewellery-making techniques.

Join me this Saturday at the Redcliffe Library for the 2026 Craftival Event.

A one-day celebration or all things handmade, crafty and creative.

I'm excited to be teaching one of my new workshops - Reloved & Remade Jewellery Lab Workshop, where students bring in their broken, lost or unloved jewellery pieces and we give them a revamp, turning them into new pieces they will love even more.

There will be lots of other things going on during the day for you to check out including;

Thought it was time for a little update on my RHS journey.

It's been 1 year, 3 months and 16 days since I was diagnosed with Ramsey Hunt Syndrome.

Progress has been slow but steady, as my muscles and nerves re-awaken and re-learn what they're meant to do.

I no longer look or feel like a stroke victim which is great. There's still some muscle twitching and tightness, but with daily stretching and facial exercises, each day shows more improvement.

Today I had Botox to help remove some of the Synkinesis (an involuntary, unwanted muscle movement that happens at the same time as a voluntary one. It is essentially a "miswiring" of the nerves) in my face.

24 injections in total...let's see what that does.

Now to make funny faces for the next few hours to activate the toxin.

Our workshops today were at Winton State School teaching grade 7 & 8's and 9 & 10's.

We had 21 students in total across 2 workshops and they got to make keychains, pendents or badges.

The students had so much fun they didn't want to leave.
