After the sapphire-bearing gravel has been brought up from the mine and processed, it’s time to sort through the wash and see what’s hiding amongst all those little rocks.

Watch as we go from the wash to the stones that caught our eye and were worth keeping. 💎✨

💎 From Underground to the Surface ⛏️

Ever wondered how the sapphire-bearing gravel gets from deep underground to the surface?

In the first part of this video, you’ll see the mine skip loaded with gravel and hauled up from the bottom of the mine. Then watch as it reaches the top and tips its load out, ready for the next stage of processing. ⛏️💎

It’s all part of the hard work that happens long before a sapphire is uncovered!
