A little glimpse behind Divine Crystal Heart… 🔮😆
A little share because I’m so proud of Niome and I and the path we have chosen. To run our business, look after our mums and little Armani boy and mums addition of Morgan. It’s not easy at times and we have become professional jugglers of tasks but we are ‘rocking it’ 🤣
So Niome and I wear quite a few hats. Business owners, crystal buyers, parcel packers, daughters, household tech support and personal staff to two dogs.
The last position has the strictest performance reviews.
Both our mums live with us, so our home is where family life and our fabulous crystal business share an address. There are orders heading out, beautiful pieces being photographed, care workers popping in and someone asking where they’ve put their phone.
Quite possibly while holding it. 🤣
My mum keeps the household conversation flowing. Sometimes with us, sometimes with herself, sometimes with the remote. The remote rarely gets a word in.
A dropped tissue occasionally requires my attendance, and Dot, Niome’s mum, regularly calls upon my technical expertise.
“Amy, can you find this number? It’s in my emails.”
I’m considering adding “digital archaeologist” to my job description.
Then we have Armani and Mum’s Bichon Frise, who run a very punctual household.
Early morning garden access. Breakfast announcements. Midday kitchen surveillance. Afternoon walkies. Dinner service.
Niome and I can organise crystal shipments from overseas, but apparently we still need supervision opening a dog food container. 🐾
Through it all, the parcels get packed with care, the crystals get their close-ups and we keep building this business we love. We’ve become rather good at taking turns, switching hats and knowing when the other one needs a cuppa.
Our capes are probably in the wash, but the job gets done. 😆
By evening, I like to think I’ve earned a little moment with my chips.
One rustle from the pantry and two dogs appear beside me, looking as though they personally funded the purchase.
We now have two chip monsters. My snack has shareholders.
It’s a full life, with plenty of love, a fair bit of organisation and some very necessary laughter.
So when you see our beautiful crystals, there’s a little glimpse of the women behind them: Niome and me, caring for our family, looking after your orders and attempting to retain custody of a bag of chips.
Today’s crystal? Clear Quartz for clarity. Because apparently we still need to clarify whose chips they are. 🔮🤣
