First release!

These fiery, golden-orange clusters are absolutely stunning wulfenite specimens from the Erupción Mine in Los Lamentos, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Wulfenite is formed in arid desert environments when oxygen-rich surface waters seep underground and react with weathering lead ores. These stunning crystals then form inside open rock pockets. Tiny trace amounts of chromium included into the crystal’s chemical structure create their incredible glow.

Stunning quartz specimens from the skarn pockets of the Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia, China. These quartz specimens are beautiful examples of the interplay between geometry and colour. They feature quartz points with clean central terminations, encrusted by a cascade of smaller, micro-crystalline points in rich yellow and orange tones and spotted with dark purple fluorite cubes.

The true magic of these pieces reveals itself under lights, where a layer of natural thin-film interference creates a shifting, rainbow iridescence across the crystal facets.

First release of these gorgeous “Ram’s horn” selenite pieces!

These mineral specimens showcase the “ram’s horn” habit of gypsum, variety selenite, originating from the karst cave deposits of the Qinglong Mine, Dachang ore field of Qinglong County, Guizhou Province, China.

Due to contact twinning and unequal growth rates along its crystalline axes, when this selenite forms the structures organically curve downward, mirroring the shape of a ram’s horn. The lower terminations of the crystals are accented by a light dusting of secondary gypsum, creating a highly textured, sparkling contrast.

These specimens also fluoresce and phosphoresce under shortwave ultraviolet light. Some also have a purple fluorite inclusion which displays softly through the selenite overgrowth.

Please note that selenite is a very soft sulfate mineral and is highly brittle and water-soluble. To preserve its complex structure, this piece must be kept entirely dry, away from high humidity, and handled with care. They will be packaged and shipped with the utmost care.
