Melaleuca Lane is closed for the next 6 weeks 😌

We are in the process of downsizing to an apartment due to my chronic illness POTS. We have wanted to do this for a long time, but had to wait for me to become well enough.

Looking forward to maybe being able to enjoy a tropical lifestyle again - cooler breezes, pools, balconies.

These Cairns birdwings are the last batch that I made before packing up, but this doesn't mean that I will be inactive.

I have plenty of cutter designs that I can't wait to make!

I had my two largest wholesale orders this month, which I didn't quite expect. Love knowing that the Christmas stock went so quickly.

I have been quiet because these beauties have been keeping me very busy - you all love the pink flowering gum and wattle earrings 💕

I sent out 29 packages in 30 days, fulfilled 3 small wholesale orders and one large one.

Finally, today, I got ahead enough to be able to take a photo of how these styles have evolved.

There are 4 of each in stock right now ready to ship, in time for Christmas gifting.

My Australian natives started as a scrap project when I stacked a pile muddy greens and saw a wattle leaf.

I have continued to use tiny bits of scraps in various colours. These pale-mid pink flowers and my pink bottlebrush prototype are in stock right now - with faster shipping.

These are limited, so if you like them it is best to buy them while they are there.

I've been quietly working away on finalising my 3 ulysses butterfly earring sizes. It has taken a lot of playing to get to this point.

I love having a proper mini option available again.

The two larger sizes have been restocked online.

There is lots of interest in minis in person, but they have never been popular online. I think you must need to see these in person, in the middle of the botanic gardens, surrounded by the real thing.

Today is the day Melaleuca Lane officially grows into an art brand - with my first print products now available as cards, just in time for Christmas 🎉

The original works were drawn here in Cairns, inspired by references from either my own photography or common natural examples of flowers and animals.

The scene of Huskisson beach was drawn in bed, and was the first sign that there could be some happiness during the most difficult time of my life.

Printed in Australia, these cards follow the theme of Melaleuca Lane - that thin coastal strip where everything wonderful meets.
