Herkimers grow already faceted, with a point at both ends, so there’s nothing to cut. We leave them rough as well, no polishing, which means you get the marks from where it sat in the rock. Some are cloudy, some are almost clear, some have a bubble or a line running through them.

They’re quartz, not diamonds. The name comes from the county in New York where they were first found…

Okay, the onyx is back.
These are the ones you keep asking us about. Someone told us she’d had her eye on the framed onyx for a very long time and that it was worth the wait (lovely to read), and honestly a bit of a wake up call. It shouldn’t take that long, but handmade pieces sometimes take longer than expected...
