🌿💛 Today is National Wattle Day 💛🌿

Today we celebrate Australia’s golden wattle, our national floral emblem. Its bright blossoms reflect the resilience and beauty of our land, and its colours — green and gold — have become symbols of our national spirit.

As the wattles bloom, they remind us of renewal, unity, and the shared identity that ties us together.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show— - the largest horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere—happening March 29 to April 2 at the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens. Expect stunning floral displays, inspiring garden exhibits, and plenty of creative workshops!

I’ll have a little shop upstairs inside the Royal exhibition building with all my pieces on show, each one capturing the delicate beauty of real Aussie flora.

Every item I make holds a story, a moment in time that we get to carry with us—like holding onto a treasured memory in the palm of your hand. I’d love for you to stop by my stall, have a chat, and experience these pieces up close. Let’s reconnect with our love for the land and each other, one petal at a time.

About me

Liat was an IT project manager until 2013. No, she doesn’t have a degree in fine arts or years of experience in the industry. She has always enjoyed tinkering with wood, clay and other mediums but never had enough time.

One day she had kids and found herself spending more and more time at home. Once she started sleeping again (if you have kids you know what I mean) she bought a 20kg bag of cement and started tinkering once more. Then resin came along and Liat was hooked.

In late 2017 she started her very own business making resin and concrete jewelry. She draws inspiration from nature and naturally found objects all around us.
