After more than 20 years designing jewellery, I’ve learned that gemstones are definitely not created equal.

Here are 3 things I avoid when sourcing stones:

✨ Pearls with a plastic core
✨ Dyed gemstones
✨ Glass being sold as natural gemstones

I spend a lot of time sourcing materials because the quality of the stone can completely change how a piece looks, feels and lasts.

The best gemstones aren’t always perfect. In fact, some of the most beautiful stones have natural inclusions, unique colour variations and individual character.

That’s what makes them special. 💎

Another spectacular Bubbles & Beads today 🥂✨

Not going to lie… I was a little nervous because it was my biggest class yet — 15 lovely ladies! But it turned out to be such an incredible afternoon.

So much laughter, creativity, connection, champagne and beautiful jewellery making. Everyone left on such a high, and moments like this make me so grateful for the beautiful community we are building 🤍
