What a bloody whirlwind the last 5 days have been!
Wednesday I arrived in Melbourne, spent TWO HOURS wandering around op shops. Then came something I haven’t done in a VERY, VERY, VERY long time… dinner by myself.
I headed to the very cool Horn Please for an Indian dinner and honestly, I really enjoyed having that time to myself. There’s something quite nice about sitting alone, eating good food and just being completely in your own little world.
Thursday was the big one, I was lucky enough to be flown to Melbourne by The Collagen Co to create content and share my weight loss journey.
They had put me up in the most beautiful Airbnb, which became our filming location for the day.
With cameras pointed at me and trying to remember everything I’ve spent the last few years living through… let’s just say my brain forgot A LOT once the camera started rolling.
Hopefully I did my story justice. I can’t wait to see the final testimonial and see how it all comes together!
We even headed over to the park to get some footage in my activewear, and apparently I was riding such a high on adrenaline afterwards that I decided the obvious next step was… getting a tattoo.
But this tattoo wasn’t just a random impulse.
It’s dedicated to my beautiful boy, Jaxson.
“Love is greater than any highs or lows.”
A little reminder of what carries us through every high, every low, every hard day and every beautiful one. And a permanent reminder that no matter what life throws at us, the love I have for my boy will always be greater than all of it.
That evening I caught up with Dave for dinner and we had the most amazing meal at Etta on Lygon Street.
Then Friday afternoon it was back home to Adelaide and before I could even get my luggage off the carousel, Jaxson’s school was already calling.
“Welcome back, Kirby.”
Nothing was wrong, so I thought I’d squeeze in a gym session before school pickup. I’d been at the gym for approximately 2.32 minutes when the school called AGAIN. So off I went to pick up my boy.
(No sickness in sight, by the way.)
Saturday afternoon meant getting dressed in ALL the bright colours 🌈 and heading to Frida’s Vegas book launch for Australianaram
