𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗻.

The new five-storey office building, home to the German Aerospace Center (DLR), combines a simple geometric form with a complex, relief-like facade. Chapman Taylor Architects used formparts in glassfibre reinforced concrete to shape the building’s volume, creating a striking contrast with golden accents.

Lightweight and modular, the sharply contoured formparts span long distances and offer flexibility in colours, textures and combinations – delivering both aesthetic impact and practical efficiency.

𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁.

Harrison Common brings together a vibrant mix of retail and residential spaces in a centrally located neighbourhood in New Jersey.

For the facade, the architects at Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners selected concrete skin panels in liquid black. The dark exterior creates a refined and striking contrast to the light timber elements at ground level, adding depth and character to the overall design.

The 23-storey “Aubrey” complex offers 331 residential units alongside retail space, shaping the skyline of Rosslyn with its distinctive architectural presence.

öko skin slats in varying shades of grey integrate seamlessly into the overall design concept. Combined with the diagonally arranged balconies, they create a dynamic and striking facade expression that defines the building’s unique character.

𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
In the new school for the Sagamok First Nation in Canada, the facade plays a key role in defining the building’s architectural expression. Rather than relying on a single uniform appearance, visual depth is created through a composition of multiple colour tones within the same material. These subtle variations give the facade a lively and layered character. The interplay of tones adds rhythm to the building envelope and enhances its visual presence.

The project illustrates how a considered use of colour can shape perception and identity, allowing the facade to become a defining architectural element while maintaining a clear and consistent material language.

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.

Oberlin College is recognised as a national leader in environmental responsibility, setting ambitious standards for sustainable development. The Gateway Center, which also includes a campus hotel, reflects this forward-thinking approach.

For the facade, the architects at Solomon Cordwell Buenz selected sustainable öko skin slats in the colour terra. Differently sandblasted surfaces create a nuanced play of colour, adding depth and character to the building envelope.

𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝟵𝟴 𝗙𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗲.

Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, the new 98 Fetter Lane development replaces a former 1950s complex with a contemporary eight-storey building offering 60,000 m² of retail and office space in a prime location.

The facade is clad in concrete skin panels and formparts in terra and polar white. Flowing seamlessly around the corners, the elements create a smooth material continuity and a distinctive architectural expression.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁.

This multi-family residential building in Brunnen offers 11 rental apartments, complemented by generously designed balconies that provide open views and space to enjoy the sun in comfort.

The facade is clad with glass fibre reinforced concrete slats. Different surface finishes create a subtle yet vibrant play of colour across the building envelope, giving the architecture a distinctive and lively expression.

𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁: 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲

With glassfibre reinforced concrete components only 13 mm thick, Rieder offers a genuine alternative to traditional massive precast facades. The slender 3D elements save valuable raw materials, reduce material use, weight, transport requirements and ease the load on the supporting structure – without compromising stability or design.

The material allows for precise, geometrically complex facades. Thanks to its moisture-resistant structure and low susceptibility to soiling, durable, low-maintenance building envelopes are created. At the same time, factory pre-assembly and a carefully designed fixing system enable efficient on-site installation. The result: facades that combine the robustness of concrete with lightness, opening up entirely new design possibilities for architects.

𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

The facade of the PREVIER in Hamburg’s HafenCity is shaped by a carefully coordinated composition of 2,645 vertical double-U profiles, 2,500 horizontal parapet elements and around 1,500 m² of large-format panels.

Realised in six bespoke shades of red, developed in close collaboration with the architects and client, the design draws inspiration from Hamburg’s Hanseatic brick heritage. Large-format panels and sculptural 3D elements combine architectural depth with long-lasting durability, offering reliable protection against wind and weather.

Different sandblasted finishes create a dynamic interplay of light, texture and tactility – giving the facade a strong and confident presence within its urban context.

Toronto’s appetite for authentic Italian cuisine continues to grow – reflected in the expansion of Eataly. With the opening of its second location at CF Sherway Gardens, southern flavours are celebrated at the highest level, from freshly made pasta to a wide range of delicacies.

Designed by Gensler, the facade is clad in terracotta-coloured concrete skin panels. Varied finishes and the slate and groove textures create a vibrant appearance, dynamic effects and a distinctive tactile experience.
