Al Nasr Apartment Buildings Phase 3 in Dubai uses curtain inspired panels to add a softness to the rigid checkered façade. Loggias, extended living rooms and storage area occupy the buffer space – highlighted in a negative corner at the end of the building.
The podium has been developed as extensive outdoor area that is generously linked to and integrated in the large, recreational amenities of Al Nasr Club.

This urban sliver (4m wide by 43m deep) has been turned into a cozy arcade with artsy outlets, a bar and a coffee shop, thus, giving the ground floor back to the public.

The upper floors comprise for short-term 1BR apartments - we go there next - so stay tuned.

What is a developer's nightmare is an architect's dream: a 4m by 43m plot with only the small side being a frontage with windows! We took on the challenge in the coastal town of Figueira da Foz, Portugal and converted the historic building into an artsy arcade on the ground floor and a funky AirBnB on the upper floors catering to surfers who not only ride the Atlantic waves but also the trendy lifestyle.

Hide Out is a green oasis cm social space to activate urban gaps / waste land. The modular design adopts to any size and shape of plot and allows easy phasing.

The video clips explaines the various elements of the Hide Out concept, a 12,000m2 development planned for a 22,500m2 plot in Al Khawaneej / Al Mizhar, Dubai, UAE.
