Jacob & Co. takes gem-setting somewhere it has never been before. 💎🌈

The $693,000 Brilliant Flying Tourbillon Baguette Pastel Arlequino features the world’s first diamond-set balance wheel in modern watchmaking, set with 54 brilliant-cut white diamonds while maintaining its chronometric performance.

Surrounding it are 366 pastel sapphires across the case, dial, crown and buckle, individually matched to create its colorful Arlequino composition. Limited to just one unique piece.

💥 A watch worn by Steve Jobs in an iconic 1984 portrait with the first-ever Mac sold at auction back in 2016.

A simple 1980s quartz Seiko (Ref. 6431-6030) impressed the world when it sold for $42,500, likely the highest price ever paid for a quartz Seiko of that era, especially considering it retailed for only $180 in 1984 when Steve originally bought it at a store.

Everything else about the watch stayed true to Jobs’ nature — minimal, functional, inexpensive, quartz-powered, and worn daily, with a strap that quietly proves it was part of his everyday uniform rather than a statement piece.

The moment around it is what made it timeless 🕰✨ — captured at his home in Woodside, California by legendary photographer Norman Seeff, in the same year the Macintosh launched and pushed the world into a completely new chapter of innovation.

Even his Birkenstocks set auction records, and the sale was officially authenticated by his long-time house manager, Mr. Mark Sheff, and included a formal letter of authenticity tied to Apple’s inner circle.

A watch found in the Hiroshima rubble stopped at 8:15 AM, the exact moment the atomic bomb detonated on August 6, 1945. ⏱️

When the American B 29 bomber Enola Gay dropped the bomb over Hiroshima near the end of World War II, around 80,000 people were killed instantly. Days later, a second bomb struck Nagasaki, claiming tens of thousands more lives. In the years that followed, many more died from radiation.

Among the ruins, personal belongings were recovered, including wristwatches frozen at 8:15 AM. These timepieces became silent witnesses to one of the most devastating moments in modern history.

This watch is preserved today at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum in Japan, where it stands as a sobering reminder of the human cost of war. 🕊️
